Frequently Asked Questions
Will HALODISC 2 fit my Model X (Plaid or Long Range)?
Yes. We supply two dedicated kits:
- 20" Cyberstream / Staggered wheels (Long Range & Plaid)
- 22" Turbine wheels (Optional Performance package)
Choose your wheel size at checkout.
How much highway range can I gain?
HALOBLK Lab testing, road tests, and extensive user feedback indicate a 5%–10% reduction in Wh/mi at 65–75 mph, resulting in noticeably longer highway range for this larger SUV. Actual gains may vary depending on speed, terrain, temperature, and tire pressure.
Do I need to remove the factory Aero blades or turbine covers?
Yes,HALODISC 2 replaces the factory covers entirely. Remove the OEM cap, align the disc, tighten the integrated center-lock, and you’re done—no adhesives, no permanent mods. Swapping back to stock covers later takes just minutes.
Will it affect brake cooling when towing or descending grades?
Daily driving, towing, and mountain descents are all covered—hidden vent channels preserve rotor airflow. For repeated track-level hard braking you can remove the discs in under two minutes, then reinstall afterward.
Is it car-wash safe, and can I order single replacements?
No. HALODISC 2 should not be used in automatic car washes. The wheel covers may get scratched in mild cases, or even dislodged or forcibly pulled off in severe cases due to the pressure, brushes, or conveyor tracks. We recommend:
- Hand washing your vehicle with mild soap and water.
- If using a professional car wash, request manual wash services only.
- Avoid exposing the wheel covers to direct, high-pressure water jets at close range.
